What holds here
Cleaners are independent contractors. They hold their own public liability insurance and set their own hourly rate.
A police check is required for bond and end of lease work, and the cleaner declares it. The platform does not obtain the certificate.
Your rights sit under the Australian Consumer Law, with the ACCC as the national regulator (accc.gov.au).
Bond cleans are quoted against the agent's entry report rather than by the hour. GST at 10% where the business is registered for it.
